FAQ
Your questions about this service
How does the initial evaluation work? Is it a diagnosis?
The initial evaluation is a 1.5-hour gerontological assessment in the home, used to identify preserved cognitive and functional abilities, observe daily routines and interests, and identify helpful adaptations to the living environment. It is not a medical diagnosis.
It results in a recommendations report provided to the agency and authorised relatives, alongside a timetable of tailored workshops.
How often should workshops be arranged?
For the home-based PASA workshop, one to two 2-hour sessions per week are recommended. The exact frequency is determined with you following the initial evaluation, based on the person's needs, their pace, and the goals set out in their personalised plan.
This schedule can then be adjusted over time as support progresses.
Who provides the support in the home?
Services are delivered by DIATTA Nestor Ambroise, founder of GéroStim-Expertise, Gerontology Care Assistant (ASG) and state-registered care assistant. Depending on requirements, GéroStim-Expertise plans to collaborate with a psychologist, a nurse, a psychomotor therapist, a physiotherapist or another ASG, each within their scope of practice.
These professionals work in close coordination with home-care providers.
